Paul Curtis takes negative space to a grand scale by reverse scrubbing walls and roadsides, selectively restoring the original material behind the filth into beautiful landscapes.
I think this is how graffiti should look like, not like those so called uniquely-shaped-extravagant-large fonts, that would read those simple and chicky phrases like music is my souls, boombox and names. Okay i’m not a graffiti artist or what but you dont have to be one to judge one. Most of them would say some hideous paint is an art to them, typical !. Why can’t it be more something like this ? DONT BE COPYCAT ! but atleast get yourself inspired ! Okay so most of them will be saying theyre are actually helping the city with thier landscape-art, and at the end of it, the municipal will hire a painting company to re-paint the walls ! what the hell is that ? thats not helping, so try something like this Paul Curtis art, atleast you help the city with your “creativity” to make it look nicer and at the same time, literally cleaning up those pale-dirty look walls. :D So GEAR UP BOYS AND GIRLS, you have a lot of grafitti and cleaning up to do ! :D:D
This is simply delightful!
There’s some small scale versions of this in Coventry.
I think this is very original and aesthetics are pretty. For me it looks like a shadow.
